Listed on the NASDAQ OMX Helsinki Ltd, Finnlines is part of the Grimaldi Group, one of the world's largest operators of ro-ro vessels and the largest operator of Motorway of the Sea in Europe for both passengers and freight.
This affiliation enables Finnlines to offer liner services to and from any destination in the Mediterranean, West Africa as well as the Atlantic coast of both North and South America. The Finnlines Group has connected its liner network via HUB Helsinki directly with the Port of St.Petersburg by using the regular TransRussiaExpress ro-ro liner service between Lübeck, Sassnitz and St.Petersburg. The ro-ro service will create opportunities for developing trade logistics between Russia and all ports served by Finnlines in Germany, Sweden, Poland, Denmark, Belgium, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Russia. Volume-wise biggest line is Travemünde - Helsinki line operated by 5 large Star Class ro-ro passenger ferries.
Additionally, Finnlines runs port operations in Helsinki, Turku and Kotka.

The Finnlines Fleet.
The Company owns the youngest and largest ro-pax fleet in the Baltic Sea. In the year 2009 the newest ro-pax vessels, the five Star- class vessels operated all in the Helsinki–Travemünde, Helsinki–Gdynia and Helsinki–Rostock routes. Two of the Star-class vessels were transfered from the Malmö–Travemünde -route to this new Motorways of the Sea connecting as well Poland with Germany.
The cargo intake of the ro-ro vessels MS Finnmill and MS Finnpulp was considerably improved in spring 2009 by adding a ramp to the weather deck and hoistable car deck panels on the main deck. The six 10,500 dwt ro-ro vessels ordered in 2007 from the Chinese Jinling shipyard are under construction and three of them will be delivered in 2011 and the other three in 2012. The sea transportation services were sold under the Finnlines name in the Baltic Sea, the North Sea and the Bay of Biscay, under the FinnLink name between Naantali and Kapellskär, under the NordöLink name between Malmö and Travemünde and under the TransRussiaExpress name between Lübeck and St. Petersburg.
